The Aspiring Project Manager is specifically designed to support Higher Ed & Student Affairs (HESA) practitioners in integrating project management principles into their student affairs work. Your background is unique... your professional development should be, too.
Thorough breakdown of the project management lifecycle that lets you map your HESA experience directly onto PM principles
Connections to frame your current work using project management concepts and vocabulary
Recommendations and tutorials to infuse project management principles and best practices into your student affairs role
"Project management is about people"... we hear this over and over. Wouldn't it be best to learn project management... well, together? I've centered community and networking in building the Aspiring Project Manager, so that whatever your project management goals are, we can accomplish them together.
Upon enrollment, gain access immediately to a private community of learners where you can ask questions, clarify concepts, and even workshop challenges coming up as you apply what you learn.
Join Caroline and other learners for monthly live webinars to network, share questions, and celebrate wins! Webinars are also uploaded to the learning platform, so you never have to worry about missing a gathering.
“Thank you SO MUCH for this overview. Your content is INCREDIBLE... I've been overwhelmed by getting started on this for months and I feel like I just knocked a GIANT to-do off my list this weekend... but in the most low-stress (maybe even fun!) way imaginable. THANK YOU CAROLINE!”
Kristen S“I honestly feel like this should be required in HESA grad programs. Total game-changer.”
Nick JYour access is life-of-the-program, which means that as long as the Aspiring Project Manager exists, you have access to all course content and community resources. If I were to ever stop running the program, I would provide a year's worth of notice. Right now, I have no plans to stop running the program.
Yes. This program will support your development as a professional project manager, regardless of what your career plans are.
The lessons are delivered via audio files set to slideshows (meaning that you can listen at your computer on the go). You can also download the accompanying slides. Resources (e.g. worksheets, templates, etc) are made available as copyable Google docs.
Yes. Get in touch with me once you join the program and I'll make sure you get what you need.
No. This program is NOT designed as a credentialing course -- though of course everything you learn throughout it will be applicable to your eventually pursuing a PM credential, if you choose to go that route. The APM is designed to provide an understanding of project management principles and best practices, and how to apply them as a HESA professional.
Yes. My first recommendation is always going to be to use professional development funding to pay for the course, but if PDF is not available to you and you can't afford the course otherwise, get in touch with me. Money should never be a barrier to professional development.
